| Description: | I am starting to get into "old" mexico. This town was founded by the nephew of Cortez and has a rich history, often tragic, and at odds (I cant even say that...there were outrageous massacres here) between the indigenous and the Spanish seeking gold. The Francsicans tempered these abuses, protecting the Huichol, but discrimination is persistant. |
